There are ways to survive Gavelkind until you can change it:įirst of all when you said you formed Hungary I'm assuming you are king. (Once you manage to reach medium crown authority you will also be able to revoke infidel/heretic titles without penalty but that is a long way off.) Once you win the revolt, revoke what titles you can without penalty and give it good Christian folks. Use the chaplain, bribe them, murder them, whatever it takes! Make sure you have a strong christian ally so you survive the potential revolts.
Since they hate you because of religon I would say there is a very slim chance they will vote your way. That's why most people feel that the Conclave DLC actually made the game easier because without it, as you see, ALL de jure vassals of your primary title (even the ones you don't de facto control) have a say/vote in the law changes.
